Viking Cues Gateway Amateur Tour June Results

Another Tour Stop, another Champion crowned for the Viking Cues Gateway Amateur Tour! Teacher’s Billiards in St. Peters, MO was the host for July’s $300 Added event. With the Missouri 8-Ball League Championship across town, 29 players still came out to earn their points and a chance for some cash!

Don Crump, inventor of the EZ-Jumper made an appearance this month, earning 2^nd place at the Qualifier and 2^nd place in the Tour Stop. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Don and the EZ-Jumper to our tour as a Tour Sponsor. The EZ-Jumper is an effective aid when trying to perform the jump shot.

Jacob White claimed the Championship, but not after some ups and downs on the bar boxes.  On his path to the championship he defeated Mike Mercurio 4-0 to send him to the Hot Seat match against newcomer Don Crump. Crump quickly sent White to the losers side with a 4-0 victory. Jacob White, determined to get another shot at Don Crump defeated one of the event favorites, Lars Vardaman on the hill 3-3, sending him back to face Crump in the Championship match. Again, Crump seemed to have control of the match, but White was able to stay focused and determined to come out ahead in another hill-hill victory by defeating Crump 5-4.
