The thirty-third stop on the 2008/2009 Pechauer All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) was hosted at Miller Time Billiards in Davenport, IA, on Saturday, February 7. The $500 added event drew thirty-two players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes. Bar phenom Jesse Bowman (E. Moline, IL) took the undefeated route to the finals. In the hot-seat match, Bowman (rated a “7″ on a regional handicap system used) clipped Jamie Baraks [7] (Milan, IL) 7-6. Earlier in the A-bracket semi-finals, Bowman defeated Randy Tendley [4] (Galesburg, IL) 7-1, while Baraks dominated Frank DeCastecker [5] (Moline, IL) 7-2. In the B-side bracket J.J. Wiseman [4] (Peoria, IL) ousted DeCastecker [5] at 5th place 4-2, while Randy Tendley [4] (Galesburg, IL) eliminated Dan Kuhl [5] (LeClaire, IA) at the same placement 4-3. In the loser’s semifinals Randy Tendley toppled J.J. Wiseman into 4th place 4-3. In the B-side finals, Tendley closed out Jamie Barak’s tournament at 3rd place by a comfortable 4-1 score. In the tournament finals, Tendley had the task of overcoming undefeated Jesse Bowman for the title, but Bowman gave Tendley no chance, defeating Tendley 7-0 for the title!

By virtue of Randy Tendley being the highest-finishing ACS member in the event, he qualified for a free 9-Ball singles entry into the 2009 ACS Nationals in Las Vegas – courtesy of the ACS. The ACS wishes to thank sponsors J. Pechauer Custom Cues, Championship Billiard Fabric, Nick Varner Signature Cases and oZone Billiards for their support in donating “Value-In-Kind” product for this and all stops on the Pechauer All American Tour. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the 2008/2009 All American Tour by contacting the ACS.

The Tour moves to Q’s Sports Bar and Girl this Saturday, February 14, for the $1,000 added, Valentine’s Day 8-Ball Massacre in Port Charlotte, FL (contact Ken Coulter at 941-585-9600).
